Plum Island Beach House for Rent (Sleeps 6)

Two-story house, a moment's walk from the ocean beach on one side and the tidal basin on the other, on Plum Island (Newbury), Massachusetts. We remodeled the second floor of the the house in 2001, so the upstairs is new, with large glass doors opening onto a spacious deck. The first floor has a cozy, cottage feeling, with knotty-pine paneling on the walls. There are small, tree-shaded front and backyards.	The house faces east-west and offers views of the ocean from the large upper deck and from both bedrooms. The sunrises are glorious (though you can close the drapes if you want to sleep in).
Description First Floor: Small front deck, enclosed sunporch, living room with fireplace, eat-in kitchen, dining room, full bath and study with queen sofa-bed. Parking, yard, etc: Backyard with catalpa, crabapple, and maple tree, charcoal grill, umbrella table, and chairs. Enclosed outdoor shower. Driveway parking for 3-4 cars, if parked in tandem. Small front yard with spindletree, maple, lilacs, and roses. Second floor: One bedroom with a double-bed, one bedroom with two twin beds; nice half bath. Amenities: Central air-conditioning is installed (though almost never needed). Fire place in living room, TV-VCR, CD-cassette player, beach chairs provided. Kitchen is fully equipped, with gas range, full-sized refrigerator, toaster, microwave, coffeemaker, pots, pans, dishes, etc.   Click here for some pictures of the inside. Rates House is rented by the week over the summer. $1000/week in June, $1300/week July and August. The house can also be rented for $1350 month September through May.
	Directions The house is located at 123 Northern Blvd. Newbury Massachusetts From 495: Take exit 55 off of 495 north and follow the exit ramp onto route 110. Follow 110 for 0.5 miles until you hit 95 south. Take 95 south one exit to exit 57. Take a left off of the exit onto route 113 east. Travel east on 113 for 3.8 miles. You will go through Newburyport and enter Newbury. At the first light after entering Newbury, take a left onto Ocean Ave. Follow this until it ends, then take a right at the stop sign onto Plum Island Turnpike. Go straight for 2.1 miles. You will pass Plum Island Airfield on your right and cross over a small bridge onto Plum Island. Go straight past the Plum Island Grille, then take a left onto Northern Blvd. 123 Northern Blvd is on your left just past 42nd street. From 95: Follow 95 north until you get to exit 57. Take a right off of the exit onto 113 east. ravel east on 113 for 3.8 miles. You will go through Newburyport and enter Newbury.
